Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered into a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query under its own terms. We do not keep a separate log of names or case numbers entered into that provider's form.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send us an email, we retain the message long enough to respond and administer the request. It is not sold or routinely disclosed outside our organization, except when law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most web services, the site may receive basic technical information when a page loads:
- IP address and related connection information.
- Browser version and device operating system.
- Device category and display characteristics.
- Pages viewed and approximate visit duration.
- Referring page, if one was supplied.
- Time and date associated with a page request.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small browser files that can support site operation and aggregate traffic measurement. Analytics reports help us understand broad patterns such as page popularity and technical performance. Browser controls can limit cookies, although doing so may change how parts of the site work.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, securing, and improving the site.
- Passing a submitted query to the selected outside service.
- Assessing which reference pages need technical or editorial work.
- Diagnosing performance and error issues.
- Supporting advertising that may be based on broad interest signals.
No Court-Record Data on File
This resource does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of court dockets or individual case records. It identifies official routes to Mississippi County records, including the Circuit Clerk and Missouri Case.net. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate any partner search boxes. Their privacy rules, retention periods, and disclosures apply to information submitted through their interfaces. Review the applicable provider policy before sending a query because we do not control its practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Mississippi County Circuit Clerk, Missouri Courts, Case.net, municipal pages, or other outside resources. Once you leave this resource, the destination's own privacy terms control. Read those terms before providing personal information.
Advertising partners may use their own technologies to measure activity or show interest-based advertising. Those systems are administered by the relevant partner.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell visitor data. Limited information can be processed by:
- Search providers that receive a query you submit.
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic or performance.
- Advertising networks serving an advertisement on a page.
- Government entities responding to a valid legal requirement.
How We Protect Your Data
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for information within our control. No internet transmission or storage arrangement is guaranteed secure, so absolute security cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has supplied information so the concern can be reviewed.
Your Data Rights
For public judicial records, Missouri access questions are governed by the Missouri Sunshine Law, including RSMo 610.023, as well as Missouri court rules such as Court Operating Rule 4. Those authorities govern access to public records, not a right to information held by this private resource. You may still:
- Ask what contact information we retain about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate contact information.
- Ask us to delete information where no retention need applies.
- Use browser or provider controls to limit certain data processing.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy as the resource, its services, or applicable requirements change. A revised version will appear here with an updated effective date.
